Charles Max Williams

Williams East Bend - Charles Max Williams, 77, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born June 26, 1938 in Yadkin County to the late Robert Jason Williams and Cleo Hall Williams. Max always had a smile on his face and always made everyone laugh. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Williams; grandson, Eric Hitchcock; brothers, Junior Williams, Jim Williams; sisters-in-law, Abby Williams and Nelda Williams. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Marler Williams; daughter, Shannon (David) Hitchcock; grandson, Alex Hitchcock; brothers, Billy (Carol) Williams, Howard Williams, Harold (Nancy) Williams; sister-in-law, Sue Williams; special friends, Calvin and Vicky Dudley; several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Union Cross Friends Church by the Rev. Robin Dixon and his nephew, Frank Williams. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
