Yadkinville Mrs. Pauline Cranfill Shore Steelman, 91, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Willowbrook Healthcare. Mrs. Steelman was born April 26, 1924 in Yadkin County to James and Juanita Chamberlain Cranfill, Sr. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she started playing the piano when she was 13 years old. She was an active member as long as her health permitted. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Steelman was preceded in death by 3 husbands, Rudy R. Shore, James Swaim, and Lewis Hunter Steelman; and three brothers, Gorrell Cranfill, Sr., James Cranfill, Jr., and an infant. She is survived by two children, Anita (Patrick) Brown and Kenneth Shore; three grandchildren, Mandy Brown, Kendra Shore and Vallie Shore; and one sister, Faye Appleyard. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 2:00pm at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Jesse Miles and Preacher Grady Trivette officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 2232 Brandon Hills Rd, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
