Minnie Ruth Wagoner Moxley

Moxley Boonville - Minnie Ruth Wagoner Moxley, 100, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. She was born November 18, 1915 in Yadkin County to the late Hilary Wagoner and Gertrude Casstevens Wagoner. Minnie was a lifelong member of Mitchell's Chapel United Methodist Church. She was an avid quilter and loved to crochet, enjoyed gardening, and her flowers. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Farris Roby Moxley; daughter, Betty Haire; sister, Evelyn Wagoner; one great grandchild. Surviving are her children, Alene Shore, Ricky (Peggy) Moxley, David (Robin) Moxley, Tanya (JR) Hemric; grandchildren, Shannon (Dana) Shore, Michael (Belvia) Shore, Bryan (Kristy) Moxley, Adam (Michelle) Moxley, Tara (Marc) Strickland, Davey Moxley, Dustin Hemric, Daniel Hemric, Sandra (Danny) Oliver, Marquita Loflin; 12 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sister, Pauline Garner; brother, Harold (Nina) Wagoner; several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Mitchell's Chapel United Methodist Church by the Rev. John Pillsbury and the Rev. Charles Turner. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. She will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
