James "JD" David Prim

Prim Elkin - James "JD" David Prim, 76, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016 at his home. He was born November 3, 1939 in Yadkin County to the late Hal Monroe Prim and Iris Shugart Prim. JD was a beloved husband, daddy, grandpa, and friend. Surviving are his wife, Dinah Collins Prim; children, Randy (Pat) Prim, Susan (Jerry) Mabe, Christy (Jason) Hutchens, Sharon (Jeff) Collins; grandchildren, Kristin (Brandon) Gentry, Dustin Oliver, Kayla (Josh) Shelton, Paige (Scott) Sherrod, Makenzie Brown, Andrew Hutchens, Nicole Collins, Sydney Collins, Luke Collins, Stephanie Prim; great grandchildren, Rylan, Skylar, Drake, Delilah, Sadie; sister, Gay Cave; brother, Guy (Joyce) Prim; father and mother in law, Odell and Kathryn Fain; his beloved puppy, Lilly Ann; several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Jimmy Joyce. Burial will follow at Volunteer Primitive Baptist Church in Pinnacle, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, which is serving the Prim family.
