Carroll Joseph Sloan

Carroll Joseph Sloan, 82, passed away Friday march 25, 2016. Mr. Sloan was born October 29, 1933 in Iredell County to the late Vander Sloan and Sallie Wooten Sloan. Mr. Sloan served in the US Navy. Carroll was a member of Zion Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and secretary. Mr. Sloan was a charter member of the Windsor Cross road Ruritan Club. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Alma Sue Tulbert Sloan; a brother Marshall Sloan. He is survived by his children Gail Allred, Chris Sloan, Eric (Melissa) Sloan; grandchildren Ben Allred, Randi Allred, Joseph Sloan, Paul Sloan; great grandchildren True Allred, Kyleigh Rains, Summer Allred; sisters Frankie Cheek, Charlotte Steelman, Judy Knight. A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday march 28, 2016 at Zion Baptist Church by Dr. Joey Tomlin. The family will receive friends after the service in the fellowship hall.
