Donald Grey Warden

Yadkinville Mr. Donald Grey Warden, 63, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at his home. Donald was born October 15, 1952 in Yadkin County to the late Guy Houston and Elsie Williams Warden. He was retired from RJ Reynolds (Reynolds America) Tobacco Company with 35 years of service. Surviving are his children, Matthew Warden and Kala (William) Philpott; four grandchildren, Dustin and Dylan Warden and Cheyenne and Jordan Philpott; four siblings, Shirley (Teddy) Angell, Lawrence (Phyllis) Warden, Wade Warden, and Jimmy (Vickie) Warden; and several nieces and nephews. The bright spot for Donald was his grandchildren. Being "Paw-Paw", he always wanted to be sure they had snacks, like honey bread and oatmeal cookies. He missed not having his Mom and Dad here with him. We feel certain he is happy once again happily united with them. He will be sorely missed by those who loved him most. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A private service will be held at a later date. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Warden family.
