Archie Ray Brown

East Bend Mr. Archie Ray Brown, 68, passed away Friday, April 15, 2016 at his home. Mr. Brown was born October 24, 1947 in Yadkin County to the late Romie and Myrtle Blakely Brown. He was a veteran of the US Army Reserve and retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company. Mr. Brown enjoyed his tractors, camping and riding motorcycles in his early years. Mr. Brown is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Norma Caudle Brown; one son, Jeffrey "Darron" Brown and friend Beth Landry; one sister, Mary Elizabeth Brown; and one brother, Donald Lee Brown and wife Vickie. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will be 3:00 PM Monday in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Gary Mahafey and Rev. Shane Hayes. Interment will follow in Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery.
