Vesta Marie Gregory

Gregory Union Grove - Vesta Marie Gregory, 98, passed away Monday, May 02, 2016 at Autumn Care in Statesville. She was born April 10, 1918 in Wilkes County to the late Jody Thomas Gregory and Gladys Anderson Gregory. Vesta enjoyed sewing, gardening, and canning food. She was a faithfull and devoted member at Union Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by sisters, Viola Gregory, Elector Gregory; brothers, Carlis Gregory, Garvey Gregory, Charlie Gregory. Surviving are her sisters, Esther Childress, Lillian Marion, Carrie Dean Gregory, Mary Jane Mullis; special nieces, Diane DeLeonardo, Revena DeLeonardo; other special nieces, nephews, neighbors, and family members. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Union Baptist Church by the Rev. Kenny Pardue. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Windy Gap Community. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Union Baptist Church.
