Herbert Joseph Haner

Boonville Mr. Herbert Joseph Haner, 93, passed away Friday, May 13, 2016 at his home. Mr. Haner was born June 7, 1922 in Lockport, NY to Henry and Irene Donner Haner. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served in WWII in the American Asiatic Pacific Theatre. Mr. Haner received 2 Bronze Stars and the Good Conduct & Victory Medal. After his time in the military, he lived in Woodland, CA. Mr. Haner was preceded in death by his loving wife Virginia Trivette Haner and a daughter, Doreen Trivette. He is survived by his NC adopted family; Dorothy Adams, Judy Simmons, Donnie & Vickie Adams, McKenzie Owens, Sonya Allen, special caregiver, Kim King, and several other family members. A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 3:00PM at Boonville Cemetery with Rev. Eddy Driver officiating. Full military honors will be provided by Yadkin VFW Post 10346 and NC National Guard Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Mocksville 377 Hospital St # 103, Mocksville, NC 27028.
