Mary Bolin Brown

Brown Boonville - Mary Ruth Bolin Brown, 86, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016 at Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Brown was born December 18, 1929 to the late Charlie F. and Treva M. Vestal Bolin. She was a lifelong resident of Boonville, an excellent homemaker and a member of Charity Baptist Church. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by an infant son, Charles Aldon Brown on October 14, 1955 and by her beloved husband of 53 years, Aldon, on March 15, 2000. Her brother and sister-in-law Howard and Mary Ruth Bolin and their son, Ralph M. Bolin, preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two sons-in-law; Richard Hal Finney, Jr. (1975) and Lloyd Stanley Johnston (2009). Mrs. Brown is survived by her daughter, Judy A. Brown Finney Johnston and friend, Albert Davis; two grandsons, Richard "Lee" (Rhonda) Finney and Aldon "Craig" (Kayla) Johnston whom she loved as sons; five great grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Salem Bryce Finney, Arden Marie Finney, Tatum Gray Finney, Skylynn Rae Johnston, and Lakyn Suzanne Johnston. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral service will be conducted at Charity Baptist Church in Boonville on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. by the Rev, Eddy Driver. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. If you care too, you are welcome to wear pink to the service honoring Mary Ruth's love of the color. She also loved butterflies.
