Jackie Lynn Scott

East Bend- Jackie Lynn Scott, 61, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday June 20, 2016. He was born April 12, 1955 in Surry County to the late J. D. Scott and Bertha Davis Billings. Mr. Scott was a member of Union Cross Friends Church. He loved restoring old cars and loved watching his children and grandchildren play ball. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife of 40 years Diane Pinnix Scott; a son Michael (Jennifer) Scott, a daughter Kristy (Sam) Witten; grandchildren MaKayla Witten, Bryson Witten; Brother Doug Scott; niece Abigail Scott; nephew Dalton Scott; Uncle Roger Scott; many special friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday June 23, 2016 at Gentry Family funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday June 24, 2016 at Union Cross Friends by Rev. Johnny Shore. He will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Scott family.
