Helen Potts Rutledge

Helen Potts Rutledge, 81, passed away Wednesday July 6, 2016. Mrs. Rutledge was born January 12, 1935 in Davie County to the late Wiley J. Potts and Agnes Kimmer Potts. She was Worthy Matron and District Deputy Matron of the 19th district of the Order of the Eastern Star.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Ben Rutledge, Sr., two brothers Wiley Potts and Worth Potts. Surviving are two sons Jim (Debbie) Rutledge, Bryan (Susan) Rutledge; grandchildren Jamie Rutledge, Beth Rutledge (Noah) Chapman, Nicholas James Rutledge, Zachary Peter Rutledge; a brother Avalon (Marylin) Potts; two sisters Hazel Foster, Vickie Frye; special friend Bill Clarkson. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 AM Saturday July 9, 2016 at Courtney Baptist Church. Her funeral will be conducted at 11:00 following the visitation by Dr. Richard Capps.
