Pete Gregory

Hamptonville Mr. "Pete" Gregory, 67, passed away Wednesday July 20, 2016 at his home. Mr. Gregory was born February 27, 1949 to Preston and Hazel Jennings Gregory. He was a member of Old Fashion Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gregory was preceded in death by his first wife Edna Mae Gregory; a sister Annie Kipp; three brothers Sherman, Santford, and Butch Gregory; and one son Jamie Dean Gregory. He is survived by wife Mary Brown Gregory of the home; a daughter Nancy Marks of Eustis, FL; two step-children Joey (Lorrie) Holland and Angela (Patrick) Gwyn; three grandsons; sister-in-law Rosalene (Bobby) Wilmoth; brother-in-law Kenneth Brown; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will conducted Monday July 25, 2016 at 11a.m. at Old Fashion Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Edwards and Rev. Steve Barber officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Gregory will lie in state from 10:30 to 11:00. The family will receive friends on Sunday July 24, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
