Peggy Ann McEwen Smith

Smith Yadkinville- Peggy Ann McEwen Smith, 77, passed away Thursday July 28, 2016. Mrs. Smith was born June 7, 1939 in Yadkin County to the late Jessie Erskin and Aldy Elizabeth Speer McEwen. She was the Owner of Peggy's Fashion World in Yadkinville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Wade Leon Smith; a sister Betty Spillman; a brother Houston "Bip" McEwen. Surviving are a son Ricky (Janine) Smith; a daughter Patty (Ronnie) Lyon; grandson/son Johnathan Smith; special grandson Patrick Lyon; two sisters Nina Marlow, Sarah Richardson. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Sunday July 31, 2016 at Gentry family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral will be conducted at 3:00 PM following the visitation at Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Darrell Wykes. Burial will follow at Courtney Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of Forsyth Medical Center Palliative Care and also Dr. Wolff for the loving care given to Mrs. Smith.
