Elizabeth Arlene Scott

East Bend Mrs. Elizabeth "Cricket" Arlene Coe Scott, 77, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Scott was born May 8, 1939 in Surry County to Clarence "Neil" and Amy Chandler Coe. She was a member of Shady Grove UMC in East Bend. Mrs. Scott enjoyed working in her flowers and could make anything grow. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Gray Scott; two sisters, Verlene Moore and Gernelle Fletcher; and one brother, Arnold Coe. She is survived by two sons, Ronnie (Dyvonne) Scott and Gordon (Melissa) Scott; three grandchildren, Rocky (Erica) Scott, Taylor Scott, and Cheyenne Sneed; three great grandchildren; special cousin, Libby (Jim) Myers; brother-in-law, Bill Fletcher; and special caregiver, Ruth Hutchens. A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 11:00AM at Shady Grove UMC with Rev. Gary Mahathey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mtn. Valley Hospice SECU Hospice Home of Yadkin, 320 W. Maple Street Yadkinville, NC 27055.
