Doris Speer Williams

Wiliams Boonville- Mrs. Doris Speer Williams, 90, of Hinshaw Road passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 16, 2016. She was born March 7, 1926 in Yadkin County to the late Howard and Edna Dobbins Speer. Mrs. Williams was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker for her family. Her cooking and being a guest at her table will be remembered by many for years to come. She also worked many years with the Zachary Law Offices preparing income taxes. She was a member of Boonville Baptist Church. Surviving are her devoted husband of 69 years, Robert R. Williams, of the home; her 3 daughters, Susan (Larry) Vestal, Patricia Williams Bunge, Ellen (Allan) Reece; grandchildren and families, Sarah Vestal (Franklyn) Frye, Emma and Casey; Miranda Bunge; Melissa Vestal (Danny) Taylor, Carter and Cohen; Matthew (Sarah) Reece, Conner and Colton; Michael Bunge; Brandon Reece; sisters-in-law, Annie Lee Boaz, Shirley Williams; a very special cousin, Helen Cox; her "adopted" son, Bob Adams; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral service will be 11:00 AM Friday at Boonville Baptist Church by Bob Adams, Steve Wagoner, Brandon Reece, Rev. Ken Boaz, and Rev. John Brown. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Williams Family.
