Ireland Hamptonville - James Walter Ireland, 82, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at his home. He was born March 8, 1934 in Yadkin County to the late Daniel Webster Ireland and Lula Underwood Ireland. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his children, Darrell Wayne Ireland, Dolly Ann Ireland; sister, Janet Leigh Joines; brothers, Daniel Jackson Ireland and Miles William Ireland. Surviving are his wife Martha "Elaine" Everidge Ireland; children, Walter Dale Ireland, Daniel Webster Ireland, Debra Ireland (Dwayne) Hoots; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2016 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
