Ruth Lashmit Baity

Baity Yadkinville - Ruth Lee Lashmit Baity, 90, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Yadkin Nursing Care Center. She was born September 20, 1925 in Davie County to the late Henry and Thelma Sain Lashmit. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thad Roger Baity; brothers, John Lashmit, Thomas Lashmit, Robert Lashmit, Allen Lashmit; sisters, Roberta Hendrix, Louise Groce, Frances Allen, Shirley Gray. Surviving are her daughters, Carolyn (Grady) Trivette, Linda Mitchell; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; brothers, William Lashmit, Harold Lashmit; sisters, Ella Grey Laymon, Dottie Shore, Jean Phillips, Alice Pickett; several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Huntsville Baptist Church by the Rev. Brian Chilton and the Rev. Dennis Shaw. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
