Angeline Vanhoy

Jonesville Mrs. Angeline Scott Vanhoy, 87, passed away Saturday, September 03, 2016 at Pruitt Healthcare. Mrs. Vanhoy was born September 4, 1928 in Surry County to Samuel George and Mattie Noah Scott. She retired from Hanes Hosiery and was a loving and devoted wife and homemaker. Mrs. Vanhoy was a faithful member of Boonville Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vanhoy was preceded in death by five sisters andfive brothers. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Vanhoy whom she married on December 10, 1949; four sisters-in-law, Frances Scott, Polly Cowan, Blanche Bovender, and Beulah Bazemore; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted Monday, September 5, 2016 at 11:00AM at Boonville Cemetery with Rev. John Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00AM prior to the service at Boonville Baptist Church Family Life Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boonville Cemetery PO Box 166 Boonville, NC 27011, or to Pruitt Hospice 902 West D Street North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.
