Joel Lloyd Chapman

Hamptonville Mr. Joel Lloyd Chapman, Sr., 74, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Kaser Hospice Home. Mr. Chapman was born February 15, 1942 inShenandoah, VAto Joe and Linie Bonds Chapman. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Mr. Chapmanattended Mtn. View Baptist Church. He enjoyed music and could play any instrument. In addition to his parents, Mr. Chapman was preceded in death by his loving wife, Peggy Bullin Chapman; and a sister, Barbara Dove. He is survived by two children, Angie (Shane) Hill and Joel Chapman. Jr.; three grandchildren, Ashley and Madison Hill and Paris Trivette. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 2:00PM at Mtn. View Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Tim Tucker officiating. Full military honors will be provided by Yadkin VFW Post 10346. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mtn. Valley Hospice Home of Yadkin, 320 W. Maple Street Yadkinville, NC 27055.
