Linda Faye Gough

Yadkinville Mrs. Linda Faye Hutchens Gough, 65, our beloved mother and the heart of our family was taken to her heavenly home, Monday, September 26, 2016. Mrs. Gough was born July 22, 1951 in Surry County to Evelyn Thomas. She adored her family and enjoyed the time she spent with them. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Gough was preceded in death by her husband Robert Gough, Jr. to whom she was a wonderful wife for 31 years; a sister, Shelba Jean Thomas; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Exie Gough; brother-in-law, Vernon Dixon; sister-in-law, Jane Thomas; and several aunts and uncles. She is survived by her children, Robbie (Sandy) Gough and Gretta (Marvin) Adams. She was Mamaw to her grandson, Nathan Gough and Granny to Tyler Adams. Linda was a devoted sister to David, Randy, and LuAnn Thomas. She is also survived by a special aunt, Ruby (Junior) Sharpe; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Dixon and Jeanette (Doug) Holt; and many cousins and nieces. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 4:00pm at Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. Arlis Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Turners Creek Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the Woltz Hospice Home, and Dr. Kinsley and staff for the loving care given to Mrs. Gough during this difficult journey.
