Jimmy Anthony

Jimmy Anthony, 74, passed away Friday October 7, 2016. He was born on May 3, 1942 in Surry County to the late Howard and Attice Butcher Anthony. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister Barbara Swaim. Surviving is his wife Mary; daughter Lynn and Joel Harris; grandchildren Jessika and Robert Cave, Megan Harris and Caleb Harris; Lynn's mother Lucy Anthony; extended children and grandchildren Jeff and Joy Brooks and children Zach, Hadley, Bethany and Savannah; Dawn and Lee Southard and children Logan, Abigail and Carlee; one aunt Fary Zach; niece Christy Clark; nephew Jeff Layell. Jimmy had many many friends that were dearly special in his life. Jimmy loved restoring Antique Automobiles, boating and fishing. The family would like to give a special thanks to Elkin Dialysis Center and to the nurses on 8th North at NC Baptist Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion shown. The family will receive friends on Sunday October 9, 2016 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. His funeral service will follow the visitation at 3:00 p.m. in the Gentry Family Chapel.
