Bertha Miller Wright

Mrs. Bertha Miller Wright, 87, passed away Wednesday October 12, 2016. She was born July 17, 1929 in Yadkin County to the late Ulysses and Lura Hobson Miller. Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her husband Jr. Wright; brothers Powell, Floyd, and Leo Miller; sisters Bernice Matthews, Hazel Prim, Goldie Hobson, Norene Matthews, and Estie Jones. She is survived by her children Johnny Wright (Bobbie), Ray Wright (Kathi), Bobby Wright (Toni), and Martha Harrelson (Tim); grandchildren Willie Wright, Eric Wright, Travis Wright, Dawn Parrish, Nichole Benton, Adam Harrelson, Amy Matthews and Clarie Wright; 10 great grandchildren; sister Rosa Matthews; and brother U.G. Miller. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. at Richmond Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Will Hamric officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetary. Visitation will be Friday October 14, 2016 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville from 6 to 8 p.m. Mrs. Wright was a lifelong member of Richmond Hill Baptist church. She loved life and her family and she was well known for her chocolate pound cakes. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Richmond Hill Baptist Church Building Fund at 2205 Richmond Hill Church Road, Boonville NC 27011.
