Lewisville – McKinley Weatherman, 70, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016 at his home. He was born April 3, 1946 in Mitchell County to the late Ernest Guy Weatherman and Euna Mae Forbes Weatherman. McKinley was a member at Turners Creek Baptist Church for 24 years. He was a devoted and loyal husband, father, and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He longed to meet his Savior and, for over 10 years, to be with his beloved wife once again. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Wanda Suddreth Weatherman. Surviving are his daughters, Trigette (Bruce) Spann, Marcia (Craig) Allgood, Lisa Weatherman Vestal; grandchildren, Gray (Amanda) Allgood, Seth Allgood (Jessica Marshall), Joshua Vestal (Megan Robinson), Ashlyn Vestal, Marisa Allgood, Emily Spann; brothers, Harold Dean (Vida) Weatherman, Douglas (Pat) Weatherman, Danny (Angie) Weatherman; sisters, Mary Jo McClellan, Doris (Richard) Biggs; several nieces and nephews. His Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., October 23, 2016, at Turners Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Scott Welch, Dr. Allen Barker, and the Rev. Bob Whitaker. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. He will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Turners Creek Baptist Church. Gentry Family Funeral in Yadkinville is serving the Weatherman family.
