Allen Wayne York

York Yadkinville – Allen Wayne York, 67, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016. He was born December 28, 1948 in Yadkin County to the late Jesse Crater York and Nancy Williams York. Wayne graduated in 1968 from Forbush High School. He was a member of Huntsville Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and Celia York, Ralph and Minnie Williams. Surviving are his brother, Robert York and wife Sharron; sister, Ruth Ann Baity and husband David; former wife, Decca Hanes York; children, Deanna Watts, Kevin Loflin; granddaughter, Kacie Watts Holbrook; step-father, James McCann. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Brian Chilton. Burial will follow at Yadkin Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Wayne’s Caregivers; Michael York, Crystal Dixon, Karen Norman, Glenda Parsons, and Michelle McClure.
