Odell Cuthrell Harding

Yadkinville Mr. Odell Cuthrell Harding, 105, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Harding was born September 22, 1911 in Yadkin County to Virgil and Edna Harding. He was a farmer by trade and he loved to barbecue. Mr. Harding worked in his garden and mowed the lawn until he was 100 years old. He was a member of Forbush Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Harding was preceded in death by the love of his life, Camella Puryear Harding, who passed away June 18, 2015. He is survived by his daughter, Helen Glenn and a devoted son-in-law, Floyd Glenn; a loving and caring granddaughter, Michelle and grandson, Wayne Glenn; five great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and special loving and devoted nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 11:00AM at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville. Burial will follow at Forbush Missionary Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:00AM prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forbush Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
