James "Jim" Walter Vestal

Vestal Yadkinville – James “Jim” Walter Vestal, 80, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016. He was born July 20, 1936 in Forsyth County to the late Nathan Hugh Vestal and Bonnie Lucille Wall Vestal.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Carrie Sue Taylor Vestal; brother, Henry Vestal.  Surviving are his daughters, Kim (Donnie) Rose, Robin (Bobby) Tysinger; grandchildren, Trent Tysinger (fiancée – Kelly Fuhrmann), Kyle Tysinger, Daniel Rose; brother, Tom (Martha) Vestal; special friend, Hobert Shore; and several nieces and nephews.  His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Harmony Grove Friends by Tom Vestal and Michael Coats.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors by the Yadkin VFW Post 10346 and the N.C. National Guard.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.  Memorials can be made to Harmony Grove Cemetery Fund, c/o Allen Church, 649 West Lee Ave, Yadkinville, NC  27055.  The family would like to thank Willowbrook Nursing Care Center and the Palliative Care Unit at Forsyth Medical Center for all the love and care shown to Jim during his illness.  Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Vestal family.  Online condolences can be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
