Eva Garretson Elderton

Elkin Mrs. Eva Garretson Elderton, 100, passed away Monday, November 28, 2016 at Pruitt Healthcare. Mrs. Elderton was born April 22, 1916 in Marfa, Texas to John and Manuela Valverde Garretson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Elderton; one son; four sisters, Mary, Ethel, Francis, and Viola Garretson; and two brothers, Joe and Lee Ray Garretson. She is survived by two nieces, Mary Todnem and Victoria Garcia; three nephews, Roderick, Gordon, and Malcolm McAfee; great nieces and nephews, Leasa, James, George, and Victoria Gianera; and several other special family members. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00PM Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Seventh Day Adventist Church cemetery with Pastor Tim Cove officiating.
