Patricia Ann Wooten Barker

Barker Yadkinville- Mrs. Patricia Ann Wooten Barker, 72, of Courtney Church Road passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Forsyth Medical Center.  She was born February 7, 1944 in Baltimore, Md. to the late William Haith and Gladys Mae Steelman Wooten.  Mrs. Barker was retired from Wachovia Bank with several years of service.  She was an active member of Courtney Baptist Church, since 1985, and established the Hand Bell Choir for the church.  Mrs. Barker loved to help others and served for over 10 years as a volunteer with Yadkin Christian Ministries.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her step-daughter, Melissa Britt.  Surviving are her husband of over 34 years, Ralph M. Barker; 2 daughters, Sharon Wooten (Ken) Snyder, Anita McKinney; step-sons, Michael R. Barker, David G. Barker; Grandchildren, Stephanie (David) Rash, Ariel (Jon) Miller, Robert S. McKinney, Kayla N. McKinney, Patrick Ray McKinney, Brittany Barker, Miki Barker, Mandy Mae Barker, Emily (Patrick) Kirker, Nick Barker, C.J. Britt; a great-grandchild, Keegan Etter; and her sister, Martha W. “Sister” Spence.  The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 AM Friday, December 9, 2016 at Courtney Baptist Church.  Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM Friday in Courtney Baptist Church by Dr. Richard Capps and Dr. Richard Eskew.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Online condolences may be made to www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
