Commie Junior Salmons

Hamptonville Commie Junior Salmons, 76, swung his last hammer of December 4, 2016. Mr. Salmons was born May 13, 1940 in Yadkin County to Blume and Fannie Swaim Salmons. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his family very much. In addition to his parents, Mr. Salmons was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Lynn Salmons; three brothers, Lonnie, Thomas and Jonnie Salmons; and six sisters, Mozelle Wagoner, Hazel Cook, Lois Myers, Marion Crater, Annie Mae Meadows, and Bertha Johnson. He is survived by one son, Harold Ray Salmons and wife Adrienne; one sister, Veatrice Arnold; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00PM, Friday, December 9, 2016 at Gentry Family Chapel with Bro. Johnny Arnold officiating. Burial will follow at Deliverance Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kate B.
