Irene Lee Kozee

Yadkinville Mrs. Irene Lee Kozee, 87, passed away Friday, December 9, 2016 at Bermuda Commons. Mrs. Kozee was born June 17, 1929 in Harlen, Kentucky to Grace Johns. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Mrs. Kozee enjoyed going to church, reading, and spending time at the Senior Center. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kozee was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Kozee, Sr. She is survived by three children, Fred (Rose Ann) Kozee, Jr., Steve (Margie) Kozee, and Patricia (David) Mosakowski; four grandchildren, Fred (Gina) Kozee, III., Tricia (David) Prevette, Danielle (Derrick) Durham, and David Mosakowski, Jr.; five great grandchildren, Lane and Katie Kozee, Peyton and Riley Prevette, and Kaylee Durham. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Jesse Miles officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00pm prior to the service at the church. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Bermuda Commons, the staff of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, and the ladies of Mrs. Kozee’s Sunday school class for the loving care, visits, and prayers.
