Betty Jean Haynes Spillman

East Bend Mrs. Betty Jean Haynes Spillman, 69, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Spillman was born March 4, 1947 in Davie County to Leonard and Wiggins Ireland Haynes. She enjoyed crafts, knitting, working in the yard, and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Spillman was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jackie Haynes. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Jimmy Dale Spillman; two children, Barry (Denise) Spillman and Kristie (Brian) Poindexter; four grandchildren, Trey (Amanda) Spillman, Dillan Spillman, and Garrett and Gracie Poindexter; one great grandchild, Makaila Spillman; one sister, Linda Snow; and two brothers, Charles (Alma) Haynes and Leonard (Barbara) Haynes, Jr. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Forbush Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Poindexter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
