Margaret Chappell Wilkins

Margaret Chappell Wilkins, 94, passed away Tuesday December 20, 2016. She was born June 24, 1922 to the late James “Jim” and Ella Hemric Chappell. She was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Burl Wilkins; a son Lanny Wilkins; five sisters Ada Chappell, Lillie Chappell, Jani Chappell Brown, Freeda Chappell, Pearl Chappell Johnson; three brothers Weldon Chappell, Lonnie Chappell, Everett Chappell. Surviving are her son Benny (Kay) Wilkins; granddaughter Megan (Justin) Henderson; step grandson Greg Hayes; sister Betty Chappell; six nieces. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Friday December 23, 2016 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville. Her funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM following the visitation in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Don Hudson. Burial will follow at Fall Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of Hugh Chatham Nursing Center for the loving care given to Mrs. Wilkins.
