James Wesley Holsclaw

James Wesley Holsclaw, 73, passed away Wednesday December 21, 2016. He was born August 22, 1943 to the late Lennie and Maggie Nelson Holsclaw. Mr. Holsclaw was a faithful member of Charity Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Arvil Holsclaw and Bert Holsclaw. Surviving are his wife Shirley Ann Vestal Holsclaw; children Wayne Holsclaw, Victoria Bishop; three step children Lu’gene (Buster) Everette, Rodney (Cindy) Hobson, Marty (Tim) Stewart; grandchildren Lance (Kayla) Everette, Savanna (Brad) Burgess, Zack Holsclaw, Brinsley Stewart, Adison Holsclaw, Shyanne Holsclaw, Alexus Bishop; sisters Rachel (Ronnie) Dodson, Martha (Larry) Waller, Diane McHone; brothers William (Betty) Holsclaw, Linville (Brenda) Holsclaw, Lawrence (Hilda) Holsclaw, Robert (Hilda) Holsclaw, Larry (Derina) Turner, Otis Holsclaw. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday December 22, 2016 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted at 3:00 PM Friday December 23, 2016 at Charity Baptist Church by Rev. Eddy Driver and Rev. Barry Norman. He will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of Woltz Hospice Home and the Cancer Center in Elkin for the loving care given to Mr. Holsclaw.
