Nancy N. Norman

East Bend Mrs. Nancy N. Norman, 77, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Norman was born June 12, 1939 in Yadkin County to Alvis and Mable Davis Norman. She was a member of New Home UMC, and a member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Norman enjoyed playing the piano, and singing in the Senior Citizens Choir. Mrs. Norman was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Gordon “Allan” Norman; three children, Bonita (Steve) Walker, Rex (Gayle) Norman, and James (Robin) Norman; six grandchildren, Amanda (Travis) Tuttle, Sheena (Ricky) Leonard, Daniel (Kailey) Norman, Wesley (Lindsey) Norman, Nicholas Norman, and Calvin Norman; five great grandchildren, Ella, Macie, Isaac, Peyton, and Laura; and two sisters, Shirley Surratt (Mark Simpson), and Eloise Rabb. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00AM, Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at New Home UMC with Pastor Lauren Anderson and Pastor Gary Mahathey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Home UMC Cemetery Fund, 3340 Smithtown Road East Bend, NC 27018. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Debbie Starling, McKenzie Wooten, Henrietta Mathis and the staff of Mtn. Valley Hospice for the loving care given to Mrs. Norman.
