Anne Virginia Bowman Peele

Peele Yadkinville-  Mrs. Anne “Virginia” Bowman Peele, 84, of Wild Rose Trail passed away peacefully Monday December 26, 2016 at her home.  She was born January 15, 1932 in Surry County to the late Johnny and Annie Flippin Bowman.  Mrs. Peele was a member of Courtney Baptist Church where she was active with the choir and music ministry.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother,  homemaker, and was devoted to her family.  In addition  to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Franklin Peele on January 24, 2012, and by 4 brothers and a sister.  Surviving are her children, Brenda (Joel) Whitaker, Garry (Kathy) Peele, Rebecca (Eddie) Gregory; grandchildren, Denise Holt, James Whitaker, Kayl “Kyle” Whitaker, Lindsey Reeves, Ashley Beal; 12 Great-Grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a brother, Monroe (Louise) Bowman; and several nieces and nephews.  The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Wednesday at Courtney Baptist Church.  Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 2 PM Wednesday in Courtney Baptist Church by Dr. Richard Capps and Rev.
