Della Mae Davis Combs

Della Mae Davis Combs, 81, passed away Monday December 26, 2016. She was born in Wilkes County to the late Truman Harris and Stella Harris Davis. She was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church. Mrs. Combs was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jerry Donald Combs; a grandson Chad Cook; two sisters Inez Garris and Shirley Collins; four brothers Reid Harris, Tommy Harris, Clyde Holland, Archie Holland. Surviving are her two daughters Barbara Childress Lynch, Renita Combs (Richie) Swaim; Special friend Kenneth Cheek; grandchildren Gerry (Kelli) Childress, Gary Childress, Renee Johnson; great grandchildren Ryan Childress, Dylan Childress, Morgan Johnson; sister Bernice Speight; two brothers Bill Holland and Eugene Holland. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Thursday December 29, 2016 at Mineral Springs Baptist Church. Her funeral will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM at Mineral Springs Baptist Church by Rev.
