Casstevens Jonesville – Carol Shore Casstevens, 69, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 27, 2016. She was born December 17, 1947 in Surry County to Fred McKinley Shore and Thelma White Shore. She was preceded in death by her mother, Thelma Shore. Surviving are her husband, Hurley “Butch” Casstevens’ children, Angela (Rusty) Miller, Mark (Norma) Goins, Melissa (Terry) Mason, Michael (Lisa) Casstevens; father, Fred (Naomi) Shore; grandchildren, Stephen Mikles, Bradley Mikles, Brittany Roberts, Ashley Fielder, Sheila Coppersmith, Emily Goins, Steven Goins, Lexi Mason, Rozie Mason, Harley Casstevens, Justin Casstevens; five great grandchildren; brother, Fred Dwight Shore. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Marler Road Baptist Church by the Rev. Randy Johnson and the Rev. Charlie Kennedy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Marler Road Baptist Church.
