Leo "Gray" Casstevens

Boonville Mr. Leo “Gray” Casstevens, 91, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Casstevens was born August 11, 1925 in Yadkin County to John Dalton and Trular Weatherman Casstevens. Mr. Casstevens was a member of Mitchells Chapel UMC. He is a veteran of the US Navy, having served during WWII. In addition to his parents, Mr. Casstevens was preceded in death by three brothers, Hubert, Carl, and Sherrill Casstevens. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Mary Lee Weatherman Casstevens; one son, Michael Casstevens; one sister, Lucille (William) Reavis; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00AM, Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. John Pilsbury officiating. Burial will follow at Mitchells Chapel UMC cemetery with military honors provided by US Navy Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00Am prior to the service at the funeral home.
