Bernice "Pat" Howell

Howell Yadkinville-  Mrs. Bernice “Pat” Howell, 85, of Lee Avenue passed away peacefully Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Yadkin Nursing Center.  She was born August 9, 1931 in Surry County to the late Benjamin and Della White Cave.  Mrs. Howell was retired from the US Postal Service and was a faithful member of Yadkinville United Methodist Church, as long as her health permitted.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Howell in 2004, by a sister, Helen Joyce, and by her brother, James Cave.  Surviving are her  son, Mike Howell of Cary; her granddaughter, Katie Howell of Boone; and a brother, Alfred Cave.  The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.  Her funeral service will follow the visitation 3:00 PM Sunday in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev.
