Gerald Calvin Groce

Gerald Calvin Groce, 76, passed away Tuesday January 31, 2017. Mr. Groce was born October 22, 1940 in Yadkin County to the late Burley Bilson and Lola Mae Whitaker Groce. Gerald was a member of Jonesville First Baptist Church. He loved to work and provide for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife of 55 years Phyllis Moxley Groce; daughter Sherri Plath; son Todd (Debra) Groce; grandchildren Whitney (Michael) Lane, Logan (Mary) Groce; great grandchild Jase Lane; three brothers Roger (Judy) Groce, Harvey Groce, Bill Groce. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 PM Saturday February 4, 2017 at Jonesville First Baptist Church. His funeral will follow the visitation 2:00 PM at Jonesville First Baptist Church by Dr. Roger Hensley. Burial will follow at Swaims Baptist Church Cemetery.
