Allen Franklin Holcomb

Allen Franklin Holcomb, 80, passed away Sunday February 12, 2017. He was born July 19, 1936 in Yadkin County to the late Marvin Peeler Holcomb and Della Calloway Holcomb. He was a member of Mitchell’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Boonville, NC. He served 6 years in the US Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters Lucy Holcomb Reece, Mary Holcomb Casstevens; two brothers Fletcher Holcomb and Sanford Holcomb. Surviving are his children Susan Holcomb (Toby) Welborn, Jerry Allen Holcomb; grandson Wendell (Mandy) Jenkins; great grandchildren Isaiah Caden Jenkins, Allison Mae Jenkins; sister Edna Mae Caldwell; two brothers Oscar (Doris) Holcomb and Hugh (Janice) Holcomb. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday February 15, 2017 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday February 16, 2017 at Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Charles Turner and Rev. J. P. Sizemore.
