Betty Branon Brown

Brown Hamptonville – Betty Lee Branon Brown, 79, passed away Monday, February 13, 2017. She was born April 22, 1937 in Iredell County to the late David Lee Branon and Fairy Critz Branon. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Claude Samuel Brown. Surviving are her husband, Albert Ray Shumaker; sons, Samuel (Barbara) Brown, Mark (Juanita) Brown; step-daughter, Rhonda Shumaker; grandchildren, Anndrea Brown (Dante Eldridge), Julian Brown; step-grandchildren, Sharon Beauchamp, Brandon Johnson, Coley Johnson; step great grandchild, Eli Beauchamp. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2017 at Branon Friends Meeting by the Rev. Eric Morrison and the Rev. Ronnie Wooten. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Friday at Branon Friends Meeting. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Brown Family.
