Norma Jean Caudle Carter

Mrs. Norma Jean Caudle Carter, 83, passed away Sunday February 19, 2017 at 6:10 PM went home to be with her Lord. She was born in Forsyth County August 31, 1933 to the late Ruth and Thomas Caudle. She was a homemaker, and a member of Mt. Carmel Friends Church. She loved her church very much. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a loving aunt and friend to many. In addition to her parents she is proceeded in death by her beloved husband Jesse W. Carter; three sisters Evelyn Holder, Margaret Wood and Hazel cook; three brothers Cecil Caudle, Tom Caudle, and Oscar Caudle. Surviving are her beloved daughter Rebecca “Becky” Matthews and husband Harold; beloved son Eddie Carter and wife Donna; grandchildren Jeanna Simmons, Valerie Hughes, Christina Henning husband Chris; three great grandchildren; sister in law Vera Campbell; sisters Florence Gibson, Jackie (Gerald) Shore, Gerrie McDaniel; brothers Ray (Ruth) Caudle, Roger (Barbara) Caudle, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Thursday February 23, 2017 at Mt. Carmel Friends Church in East Bend, NC 27018. Funeral service will follow the visitation at Mt. Carmel Friends by Rev. Jeff Farmer. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Carmel Friends Church Building or Mt. Carmel Friends Cemetery Fund Mt.
