Leo Stokley Sizemore

Yadkinville Mr. Leo Stokley Sizemore, 92, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at his home. Mr. Sizemore was born April 19, 1924 in Yadkin County to Walter and Lona Brown Sizemore. He was a member of Northwood Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Sizemore was preceded in death by three sisters, Elois Sizemore, Ruby Gentry, and Jessie Hutchens; and four brothers, Coy, June, Ronda, and Gaither Sizemore. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Emma Jean Hobson Sizemore; three children, Kay Potts (Terry), Randy (Cheryl) Sizemore, and Danny (Samantha) Sizemore; four grandchildren, Robbie (Cindy) Potts, Denver, Brandon, and Dalton Sizemore; one great grandson, Robbie “Andrew” Potts; and one brother, Ray (Jerrie) Sizemore. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00PM, Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Gentry Family Chapel with Pastor Allen Barker and Dr. Hubert Wishon officiating. Burial will follow at Northwood Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SECU Hospice Home of Yadkin 320 W. Maple St. Yadkinville, NC 27055 or to Northwood Baptist Church PO Box 1637 Yadkinville, NC 27055. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Mtn. Valley Hospice, Kathy Reece, and Christy Renegar for the loving care given to Mr. Sizemore.
