Ruby Wiles Henderson

Hamptonville Mrs. Ruby Irene Wiles Henderson, 87, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Henderson was born May 17, 1929 in Yadkin County to Dallas and Leona Pinnix Wiles. She was a lifelong member of Asbury UMC. Mrs. Henderson retired from Hanes Hosiery after 36 years of service. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Henderson was preceded in death by her husband, James Adolfus Henderson; a son, Bill Holcomb; a sister, Geraldine Johnson; and a brother, Odell Wiles. She is survived by two sons, W. Gray Holcomb and Stonie (Linda) Holcomb; six grandchildren, Ben (Kristin) Holcomb, Jamie (Dacia) Holcomb, Holly McCann, Courtney Holcomb, Nathan Holcomb, and Scottie Holcomb; six great grandchildren, Bianca, Joshua, Millie and Aubrey Holcomb, Rebekah (Tyler) Bare, and CJ McCann; and a step great granddaughter, Brianna Eilert. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Asbury UMC with Rev. Mark Reavell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00PM prior to the service at the church.
