Olean Royall Harris

Olean Royall Harris, 96, passed away Saturday February 25, 2017. She was born February 16, 1921 in Yadkin County to the late Miles Shelah Royall and Elsie Shore Royall. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a charter member of the Elkin VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was a very loving person who will be missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Henry Harris who was a World War II Veteran; a sister Edna Hutchens; three brothers Charles Royall, Clifford Royall, and Hubert Royall. Surviving are three brothers Danny (Judith) Royall, Bobby (Evelyn) Royall, William A. Royall; a sister Edith Royall Hauser; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:45 PM Wednesday March 1, 2017 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday March 1, 2017 at Center United Methodist Church Memorial Cemetery by Rev. Richard Hackler Commander of the Elkin VFW Post 7794. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of Pruitt Health Care, Pruitt Hospice, and Jonesville Family Medical Center for the loving care given to Olean.
