Eva Vestal Holcomb

Jonesville Mrs. Eva Mae Vestal Holcomb, 70, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Holcomb was born July 16, 1946 in Surry County to Hugh and Maude Mosteller Vestal. She enjoyed quilting, cross stitch, painting, visiting the beach, and collecting antiques. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Holcomb was preceded in death by her siblings, Davis Vestal, Carol Holcomb, and Harold Vestal. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Charles William Holcomb; three children, William Landon (Susanne) Holcomb, Tina Rae Whitaker, and Melissa Ann (Shane) Adams; seven grandchildren, Christina, Andre, Andreas, Channin, Gavin, Jenna, Jessica, and Brody; two great grandchildren, Simon and Isabel; three sisters, Mattie (Sherrill) Kimmer, Bonnie Reynolds, and Frances Vestal; and two brothers, Jaylee (Annette) Vestal and James Vestal. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Friday, March 10, 2017 at Victory Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Joey Burton officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mtn. Valley Hospice SECU Hospice Home of Yadkin 320 W. Maple St. Yadkinville, NC 27055.
