Juanita Nixon Parker, 87, passed away Friday March 10, 2017. She was born September 24, 1929 in Yadkin County to the late Caleb Nixon and Mamie Williamson Nixon. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Fred Edward “Ed” Parker; two sisters Tee Matthews and Jean Speaks. Surviving are her children Rita (Ron) Dobbins, Eddie (Pam) Parker, Pam (Andy) Danboise; grandchildren Josh (Elizabeth) Parker, Julie Parker, Kandace (Chad) Hamilton; great grandchildren Charlie Parker, Hudson Hamilton, Piper Hamilton; sisters Ann (Jerry) Lamm, Jane (Frank) Gentry; brothers Roy Nixon, Franklin (Mary) Nixon, Bobby Nixon, Tommy (Ann) Nixon. Her funeral will be conducted 3:00 PM Monday March 13, 2017 at Charity Baptist Church by Rev. Eddy Driver. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends following the burial. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice, her three caregivers during the day and all the other special family, friends, and church family for the loving care given to Mrs. Parker.
