Herbert "Creeb" Brooks

Brooks Hamptonville – Herbert “Creeb” Ray Brooks, 88, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born October 11, 1928 in Yadkin County to the late Henry Harrison Brooks and Bertha Dinkins Brooks.  Creeb was a member at Mt. View Baptist Church and had perfect attendances for 49 years.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Beulah Johnson; brothers, Herman Brooks, Harrison Brooks, Harold Brooks.  Surviving are his sister, Roseleen Smith; brother, Homer Brooks; and several nieces and nephews.  His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Mt. View Baptist Church by the Rev. Tim Tucker.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, one hour prior to the service, at Mt. View Baptist Church.  Memorials can be made to Mt. View Baptist Church, 1232 Mt.
